PLAINFIELD, IL, OCTOBER 7, 2022 -- Cicero Construction Group, a premier general contractor in the Chicago area since 1970, has been selected to build-out a nearly 2,000 square-foot commercial space in the city's prestigious River North neighborhood, converting it into a HOTWORX™ Fitness Studio. Located on the first floor of the luxury Ardus Apartments at 676 North LaSalle Street, the new 24-hour studio will offer members an unparalleled fitness experience combining the many benefits of infrared heat absorption with virtually instructed 30-minute Isometric workouts or 15-minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) sessions. Anticipated construction completion date is December 2022.
The River North project marks the second HOTWORX build-out for Cicero Construction Group. In April of this year, it delivered the 2,500 square-foot HOTWORX Fitness Studio now operating at 924 West 75th Street in Naperville, Illinois.

Like the Naperville project, HOTWORX in River North offers its members a variety of virtual-instructed 30-minute Isometric (ISO) and 15-minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts inside their patented infrared saunas for up to 3 people per session. These semi-private sessions include Yoga, Pilates, ISO, Barre, Core, Buns, Cycle, and Thunder Row. Each session combines 3-dimensional training, a powerful combination of Heat, Infrared Energy, and Exercise to help members tone up, flush toxins, torch calories, and achieve the most efficient workout possible. The heat penetrates the body while members are exercising, accelerating detoxification and weight loss.
Along with the saunas, there will be an FX Zone™ (functional training area) for general strengthening and conditioning offering free weights, battle ropes, bands, and other equipment. Because HOTWORX is a 24-hour studio, members may conveniently book their workout sessions according to their busy schedules.
Cicero Construction Group's scope of work includes installing all mechanicals (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), drywall, paint, and the building of bathrooms and a lobby, together with putting in the infrared saunas and an expansive list of exercise systems. As an experienced general contractor, Cicero Construction Group is a specialist in safely conducting operations in fully occupied buildings like the Ardus Apartments. Construction will be scheduled to minimize interruptions to Ardus residents with an emphasis on reducing noise and debris.
