Cicero Construction Group announced today that it has been selected to act as general contractor for the renovation of the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Green Bay East, an IHG hotel in the Village of Bellevue, Wisconsin. Demolition work at the property is now underway with completion slated for June 2024.
The Wolf family, which owns and operates the hotel along with a Comfort Suites hotel in nearby Green Bay, is a second-generation family-owned business, much like Cicero Construction Group.
“We are looking forward to working closely and collaborating with the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Green Bay East owners, Adam and Aaron Wolf, as well as their excellent managers and staff,” said Sam Cicero, President of Cicero Construction Group. “It is especially gratifying to work with another family-owned small business who shares our passion for delivering a great experience to its customers and is heavily involved in their local community. Adam and Aaron embody everything we love about working with a family run business. They’ve been present for every decision, easy to communicate with, and truly care about their business, the people they employ, and the community they support. It is rare to find business owners of their high caliber and we are excited to bring this project to life with them.”
Located only minutes from historic Lambeau Field, home of the four-time Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers, the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Green Bay East has been recognized as an IHG Torchbearer and is the recipient of multiple Quality Excellence Awards. In its continued drive to exceed guest expectations, the hotel will undergo dynamic renovation to all three of its floors following IHG’s most recent brand design standards, known as Formula Blue 2.0. Created with the Holiday Inn Express “Smart Traveler” in mind, IHG's Formula Blue 2.0 design scheme is recognizable by its signature bold, contemporary yet practical elements, from the open check-in area that enhances interaction with hotel staff, to large headboards in guest rooms featuring integrated power that allows guests to stay plugged-in while minimizing noise transfer between rooms.
In all, the renovation will include the hotel's 80 guest rooms, the lobby area with registration desk, business center, and Express Shop™ market, the indoor pool and spa, the Express Start™ breakfast bar, and the fitness center. Cicero Construction Group will also fully revitalize the hotel’s public bathrooms, back-of-house laundry operations, meeting room, stairwells, corridors, offices, vestibule, and elevator lobbies. In guest rooms, Cicero Construction Group will be installing fresh new carpeting, window treatments, furnishings, and bedding, along with updated color palettes on walls and ceilings. Guest bathrooms will be outfitted with stylish new fixtures, tub-to-shower conversions, and mirrors with built-in lighting.
